Today, its one of those days I have been going around in circles. Just like I am on a Merry-Go-Round. It may stop sometimes just to let someone off, but me.
I've been awake since 6 a.m. and between feeding my cat, making lunches and getting ready for work, its been non-stop. I gathered all the items I needed and still was able to lock the door with my arms full.
My husband, Karl waited for me a few minutes. It seems like I carried part of the house with me as he sat there waiting in the car. Well, he did carry some bigger things to the car, I suppose.
Work was very busy today and I realized I rushed out of the house without breakfast. I knew if I ate we would be late. After an hour, I finally ate some yogurt at work. I generally never skip breakfast before I leave home.
I think we are all guilty of rushing around in the morning and then we get on this merry-go-round of doing too much all day. I guess we Americans don't know how to manage our time according to many European's who find time in their day to relax during lunch or sometime.
We had an exchange student several years ago from France and each day this 17 year old took a nap in the afternoon. He told us they even take a rest time at his school. I suppose it does sound like a good idea, but we don't have that custom here. Rarely, do we take naps in our schools, jobs or even at home. I guess if you sick and stay at home, you might nap.
I guess that's why we keep going around and around like we are on a Merry-Go-Round. Today, was my definitely that kind of day. I think tomorrow, I will take the day off.
